My Question: I just accomplished my goal of 30 continuous pull-ups that I had wanted to hit for a fitness competition this May 31. I'd now like to hit 35, or more! How many days should I train back per week, and at what volume? - Tim (Austin, TX)

Obi Obadike Answer: I would say to get to your goal of 35 pull-ups I would do pull-ups 3 days a week probably: Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the workout would be 4 sets of 15 to 18 reps which will help to improve your muscular endurance for this particular body-weight exercise.  If you do this for at least 4 to 6 weeks of 4 sets of 15 to 18 reps about 3 days a week that should help really you to be able to improve your goal to get to 35 continuous pull-ups for your May 31st competition. Good Luck to you!
