Guys I am speechless. We did abs, arms, and calves tonight...I know, kind of a weird combination. He was introducing me to a technique of his called "L-ROME" or Limited Range Of Motion Exercise. Guys this was incredible...we did Tri pushdowns and he goes "I bet you do these with the whole stack of weights" and I say "Yeah". He then puts it on 60lbs and puts the rope on...he has me suck in my gut, pinch my shoulder blades together and as I push down I drive my elbows into my side...I mean really drive them. I felt it on the first rep. I did only five of these and my tri's were BURNING. We then did it with the straight bar and then the little bar that has the 90 degree bend in it all using the same technique. It hit all three heads of my tri's like never before...I was hooked.
Next off to work the bi's. He has me stand against the wall with my feet about 18" in front of me, knees slightly bent. He hands me a 40lb ez curl bar and says "Flatten your lower back against the wall, put your head against the wall and as you curl, push your elbows against the wall while also driving them into your body...HOLY SHIT what a burn again...with only 40 lbs!!!!! I'm really feeling it and it is just the change up I needed. Just simple little isolation moves that get results.
Here is his website http://www.satinfitness.com/index.htm
Going back next Wed for the next round. This is blowing my mind because I always did a descent amount of weight and here I am doing these tiny little amounts of weight and feeling like I pushed and pulled a truck...awesome.
