I know you've got your own goals in my mind, and once again, props to you for getting started.
But, I just gotta say it again... I was in the same boat as you are now, and I started dropping tons of fat before I started lifting, so, I'm telling you...
HIT THE WEIGHTS, MAN!
Haha, not trying to sound pushy, and I hope somebody backs me up here, but I can't stress enough how valuable weight training would have been had I started lifting in '03 instead of the middle of '05. After dropping 75 pounds, then putting on 25 while my waistline is still getting smaller, I can only imagine what kind of gorgeous marble statue of a beast I would be today had I been lifting back then
That's all, I won't keep insisting because it's your call. But just remember, I was once a pile of blubber, and once a no-arms thin-chested sissy who realized that "skinny" wasn't the way to go either.
