Yes Belfort was snatched up by Pride (not really sure why), Belfort was coming off of a loss to overeem (the better brother Alistar) which was one of the more boring fights in MMA and was a unanimous decision. That is good that Vitor won last night because he has not looked good for quite sometime and you never know which Vitor is going to show up, the old explosive Vitor or the new Vitor that always looks lost in the ring.
Yes fedor is something special, I would have to agree that Hughes has not reached that level and likely never will unless he goes to Japan or just fights Penn and St. Pierre for the rest of his career so it is not for lack of skill it is for lack of competition as he has not been hurt as much as Fedor has and pulled off amazing victories though his win against Trigg where Trigg hit him in the cup was reminiscant of the Fedor Fujia fight with both of them being almost out of it and coming back to win. Hughes wins are just as doninant, he is not as well rounded as Fedor but not many people are as Fedor has incredible punching power but Hughes has proven time and time again that he dominated strikers and wrestlers. Hughes has not been put in a situation enough where his bell is rung and he must pull out something spectacular to win the fight but I am sure he will recover from more of those in his career.
