yea ive experienced that before myself. i used to be primarily a runner before getting into hyertrophy training. for me it all was related to lack of decent shoes in my youth. i suffered most of the ailments a runner suffers untill the year i purchased a decent pair of saucony running shoes and havent been without a good set since. now that im much larger and heavier i really notice the difference in shoe quality. they helped eliviate shin splints, knee pain, ankle pain etc. its just like having a bad shock or shocks on your car!.....eventually if you dont replace the worn shocks the added stress they put on the suspension componets start suffering. using an car anology example!
