Test levels vary throughout the day, so a low reading isn't the end of the world. Also, heavy training (overtraining) can lead to lowered levels, so you may be doing too much work (may be). Other things to consider may be your diet -- those diets that are considered "healthy" are generally fairly low fat and low cholesterol, while test is made from cholesterol. So those diets really aren't that good for people, let alone already-healthy people.

But I honestly wouldn't worry about it -- 300 is within the regular range. While you may wish it was higher, that doesn't really mean that it should be higher. Make sure you get your sleep, eat properly, and don't overtrain, and test it again after whatever time your MD (or someone who's up to date on this stuff) says (probably on the order of several months). And I think the tests need to be sampled at several times during the day to give an average reading. But 300 really doesn't even mean that putting on muscle will be more difficult, or that you'll be less "manly." Your body has tries to exist in a balanced state, and levels vary between people. Just b/c a reading is on the low end or high end doesn't necessarily mean that some type of intervention is in order.

Good luck, keep us posted.
