It is not normal for a man your age to experience low testosterone levels. Typically, testosterone levels for men your age are at their lifetime peak. Therefore, your doctor may put you on hormone replacement therapy. Basically, it's the legal way of acquiring steroids.
Hormone imbalances are real health issues. Therefore, they require real treatments (usually in the form of hormone replacement therapy). This is the reason why steroids exist, to treat people who have the same condition as you.
However, your situation is different from most others because low testosterone levels are usually found in older men.
