You're feeling fuller now because those mixed veggies and brown rice have fiber. Eating lots of fiber in one sitting will make you feel full sooner than just eating processed carbohydrates.

The hunger pangs, I'm not sure what that's about either. Maybe your body is upset about something you're eating/drinking. Or it could be that you're not feeding your body quite as often as it would like to be fed, so your stomach growls and releases acids which can feel painful at times. Talk to your doctor about it.
