Back width is one of the things we all strive for...love that V taper! The key to back width is upper lat development. Contrary to what I believed for years, doing wide grip pullups does not "make" the lats wider any more than other basic back movements such as bent over rows, DB rows, cable pulls, etc. The key is is to stick to these basic movements and really squeeze with heavy weights. The lats pull the arm in a variety of directions so hitting them in a variety of ways will make them grow. Big lats = wide back! Pullups and bent over rows are 2 of the best IMO.
