I would look at deep tissue massage first to break up scar tissue and help get oxygenated blood in there to help it have a chance to heal. It may help with the neuro aspects as well and will for sure help clear out any stagnation. its similar to carpal tunnel in a sense but you have better space to work with hence better chances at other options before surgery.
