Cool Circuit Training Workouts (cardio)

Hey all,

Just wondering if you guys have any of your own cardio circuit training workouts that you like to do, and if anybody would like to share with us all? I have one circuit training routine that I love, and it would be cool if we could all share what we do so we could share our ideas...that is of course if other people do these. Anyways, here's what I do normally:

2 mins skipping
2 mins step ups
2 mins lunges
2 mins runnning knees to waist
2 mins running feet to butt

repeat 2-3 times (I do 3 sets and floorwork)

Stay awesome everyone!

This seems to work for me... remember, no breaks in between exercises!

5 minute jog on treadmill, then circuit 3x:
- 25 Squats with barbell - moderate weight
- 15 pull-ups (assisted if you need to - feet on chair)
- 15 dumbell chest presses
- 15 dumbell lunges
- 15 bent-over barbell rows
- 25 push-ups
- 15 dumbell shoulder presses
- 25 ball crunches - holding dumbell on chest
- 25 jumping jacks
- 30 second rest

If anyone can get through this easily, let me know!

15 push-ups
2 minutes of jumping jax- moderate
15 tricept dips- weighted if needed
1 minutes jump squats
2 minutes on speed bag

Repeat 2-3 times

I found this on the internet and have been using it religiously. It's a great workout and although I've lost BF I've retained a good amount of lean muscle tissue. Plus I've finally gotten some muscle separation that I've been trying to get for quite awhile. For some reason or another, at 44 years old, I haven't been able to gain anymore size, or lose bodyfat so getting any seperation was a pita. This workout really helped. Anyway, hope this helps.

'burpees' are what one gets when one drinks fizzy stuff whilst excersising

oh i'm sorry i couldn't help it. after i read the question by missy i just laughed to myself and thought: "missytron never had the brurpees!" snigger

childish and stoopid i know but now i am intrigued because that circuit training workout sounds great but i too would like to know what 'burpess' (snigger) are?

okay so as most people know around here by now my terminology for all things fitness related is atrocious, so without further ado i share with you my cardio workout for the days i do not use wieghts!

10 mins of jump rope ( counting to 60 jumps / take a wee break & repeat )
10 mins or 5 km's (whichever comes first) (normally the 5k but then i just stay going so the rest of what i typed is slightly pointless!) on excersise bike
& then i either spend the last ten minutes punching a punchbag or doing inverteed & elevated push-ups!

i'm not sure if this constitutes as a "circut" but i'm sure i could modify it!

this was a circuit given to me by a rugby coach ...absolute killer
10 min warm up on bike
-bench times 15
-pull ups to failure
-squat times 15
-upright row times 15
-press ups (about 30 to 40)
-Squat jumps times 25
-sit ups times 30
-clean pull times 15
-step up times 15
-200 skips

i did this programme once a week for a period of 8 weeks along with two to three other weight sessions in the week . I thought it was an absolute killer. you go through each exercise in a circuit. if you cant do all together do them in sets of threes. Do the whole circuit once then take a 2 min break and repeat the circuit 2 more times. Each week if you want to challenge yourself ...raise the repetitions by five. I.e. if you benched 15 times on the first week and it was comfy ..do it twenty times the next week ....dont excede 30 reps ...if you dont find it a killer ...you are superman . i'd like to know what ye think of it ..it was pre season training ...but it was quality
