Default "for men" light resistance for glutes?

For me nothing is better than lunges and squats to build the glutes. Throw in a few sets of stairs to mix it up and im usually happy but what about the light exercises that usually women do for their glutes? Like buns of steel and other that focus on the burn. Have any of you guys tried this? I want to try it but wonder if it's a waste of time for men. Since we usually build our "butts" and not tone them. Any thoughts and actual results?

i have never exercise my glutes with this "women exercises" for long periods, sometimes i have done but i never felt that my glutes were -specifically- working,

i have always thought that if women were more into lunges and squats they´ll look better,
so i think those burn-exercises not worth the time for building or getting a better glutes, they mostly burn fat.
