Running and hives
This just happened to me today, I finished a 3.5 mile run at a pretty solid pace (about a 7:15 min/mile) and I ran the last 1/8th of a mile a fast as I could push myself.
Following my cool down, I started to get itchy and break out in hives. This has happened to me once before, and it was over five years ago. I finished a hard run and I started breaking out and my face even got a little puffy.
Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Yes, google urticaria.....I suffer this with cold and pressure, yours could be could, sweat or in some very rare cases I have heard of some people who are not allergic but had anaphylactic shock from eating nuts or protein within hours of exercise, something about the body heating up and the protein changing because of it to become toxic or an allergen......., I got that story from cpr class so I don't have a link for you but do look up urticaria, it could be that too and many doctors don't say miuch about it, my dr said he gets it too and there is nothing we can do....but anyway check it out, maybe your dr is a bit more hands on and proactive.
Also google, exercise allergies or exercise and hives.

I was running on a treadmill. Actually both times it ever happened to me I was running on a treadmill.
The only other thing that stands out is that I ran pretty soon after eating. Much sooner than I normally do.
I ran again today with no issues. Maybe it had to do with me running so soon after eating.

me too, indoor cardio, when I sweat and then a fan or breeze or air hits and instant hives.
Also happens when I am exposed to the cold outside or cold water, and I could be rollerblading in 30 celcius weather but the speed causes breeze so I get them then to!!!
You will have to keep an eye on those factors so you can see, it could be the food before and also the type of food.
