Same thing happened to Eric Zabel a few yaers ago. He put his hands up to celebrate the win and got beaten over the line by Oscar Freire in the 2004 Milan-San Remo.

I saw this last week on google video. I think Gman has it. Something about counting chickens.

Speaking of -- did anyone see that video of the two cyclists fighting in the middle of the road. It's been around for a few years. Basicly they get pissed at each other for something and attempt a fist fight. It's funny as hell because they can't walk around because of the clips on their feet and neither one of them can throw a punch so it just ends up looking like a slap fight. I'll look for it.

I also saw this vid where one cyclist shoved another and some people in the crowd ran out and tossed the offending cyclist off a bridge....

Prof, I haven't seen that one yet but it is awesome! That guy took quite a fall off the bridge, I wonder if he was injured. Not to mention it looks like it was very cold out there.

That bike race looked rather, semi - pro(ish) to me, but I can't help but hear the Rolling Stones song line in, "You can't always get what you want". This cheater wanted to win, but he got what he needed....I bet he thinks twice before shoving someone of their bike again!
