Whaoooo, that's a wicked looking bike. I bet you can't wait, I don't think I'd have managed to post a pic before testing! Shows your commitment to the site j/k aside, it really looks cool, and at 20lbs, there will be no more excuse for slow hill climbs

I'm can't have bikes, last time i rode a bike, i broke mine, my Mother's and my Father's one after another, all within five minutes
But yours looks awesome FP i bet that emptied your pocket slightly. The wheel trims with 'spin energy' on look cool.

I built mine using a frame I bought from Team Cyclism and the wheels I bought from Bicycle Chemistry. I picked up some new tires so that I could have two complete sets. I then used the components from the Specialized I purchased last year.
According to the website, the Roubaix Comp MSRPs for $2200 and the wheels MSRP for $1100. Of course I got a great deal on the wheels from Bicycle Chemistry - the frame and wheels set me back about $1,650.

I ain't too sure man, something on the back wheel on my bike gave way, the frame somehow became loose, and felt like the the back end of the bike was about to fall apart. Me and a pal of mine have tried to repair it several times, but we ain't no bike experts. Same kinda thing happened to my Parent's, i managed to fix one but the other went to the bike shop to get repaired and we were told it would need a new wheel and tyre.
Oh well.

Okay, so I couldn't leave well enough alone; I went out and got some new peddles and aero-bars. I started out getting a new pair of shoes, but they used a different kind of clip, so ended up with new shoes, peddles and the bars. Ran over to Washington Bike and got them put on real quick.
I am quite the poser now; can't wait to get on the trail next weekend and see how I do!

Great looking bike!
I just got a set of rims from the same place but one was out of true from the box. I had to spen some quality time getting them straight as an arrow.
I sure hope they stay that way!
I am getting my bike ready for a 450 mile ride done over 4 days. Some friends and I just made it up and started doing it, this will be the 3ed year. I have some pics at roadriding.com. The ride is done in Nov.

450 in 4 days? Wow, thats alot of miles.
I seem to have come down the the flu - in the middle of a heatwave, go figure - I hope i"m recovered by the weekend so I can try this thing out!
My trainer came yesterday, so will set that up soon as well.

Trainers drive me crazy, all pedaling and going no place. Did they need to adjust your new rims at the shop?

Yes, type of rubber used (Dual compound or single), TPI (Threads per inch), and type of bead (steel, kevlar or other). Sew-ups can be even more expensive.
