Rode in my 2nd Century Ride Today!

Today I did the 40k loop in the Delta County Century Ride in Gladstone Michigan!

My son rode with me and we did the 40k loop! I wanted to go for the 78k, but my son was really unsure so we went for the 40. At the end he wanted to ride more! So, next Spring we will ride a longer loop in the Menominee River Century and we are planning to do this ride again too!

It is a nice enough ride to be sure, but it was really nippy first off this morning with a start temp of about 55 degrees! Cold enough? Jeez... But the rest stops were great and it is a well run ride!

I will push to be riding the 100k in this ride next fall as well! I figure a better bike and more training along with my weight loss will really help (I plan to be at my goal weight by next riding season!)

I snapped the photo while riding....then the camera took a puke..need a new one I guess...

Where did this ride take place? I've done several 100 mile rides on the eastern shore, the latest being the seagull century. If you're near the Salisbury area, this is a great 100 mile ride. They had over 8400 riders this past October. They also offer a 100k ride and a 30 mile fun ride.
