One of my throwers told me about the site. I've found some really great information/advice on here.
I work-out three to four times a week with my throwers and also on my own. I found putting cardio back into my routine has helped in many areas of my life. I kinda forgot how important keeping the 'ticker' strong and healthly was. I look forward to reading posts by of of you.

Just wanted to say Hello to everyone. This site has blown me away. Many great posts/posters. A lot of information!!! I am an ex-college football player who let things slide and started getting myself back together about 2 years ago. I love being in the gym, eating right (once again) and feeling good.

Hey there, my name is Mike. I used to be a semi-regular years ago.
about me: 30 y.o., 6', 230lbs, looking to get back into a reasonable level of atheletic fitness for work [construction] and play. Been out of the game for too long and I feel it. Looking forward to getting back to training and being a semi-regular poster, or at least a regular lurker.

dropping in to introduce myself
Whats up everyone. My name is Jim, and I am new to the site. I have just recently started working back out and doing some major cardio. My goal first and foremost is to lose about 20 pounds. My fiance got pregnant, and I got fat. Go figure huh. I also want to gain some muscle mass, and definition. Right now I am working out 5 or 6 days a week, spending about an hour doing about an hour of cardio, and another hour so lifting. I am working hard on building up mass in my chest and arms, and defining my legs more.
So I guess is pretty much me in a nut shell.

Hi folks,
I introduced myself in another post, but didn't really give any stats or history, so here goes...
I'm 31, 5' 8" and many moons ago was an Airborne Ranger. Those 20+ mile ruck marches and daily calisthenics and runs kept me in tip top shape ranging around 155~165lbs. I was very new to lifting, however, I saw my friends working out, downing protein and creatine with abandon and watching them grow to bigger proportions, so I joined them without even doing any research. I've paid for that... My last parachute jump caused me to land on a tree stump, and after agonizing surgery and even more physical therapy, was able to use my leg without the aid of a cane/walker, however, the added weight from improper training really stunted the healing process. I'm good now, however, I probably won't be running full marathons.
At this time, I'm obese and really out of shape due to my own negligence but I really want to get back to a healthier lifestyle. After trying some fad diets which really didn't work, I started looking online and found this site. My body type is an endomorph, so although I love to lift, I have to spend alot of time doing cardio.
I plan on keeping a journal and will also track progress with pictures. This site has been a great resource and I want to personally thank everyone for their thoughts and opinions.
