Hey guys names Adam, 19 year old male oringinally from Pennsylvania but I moved out to the West Coast laste year and been here since. Lived in CA for awhile but now stuck here in Oregon. Active duty Coastguard and also take part time college along with workout 6 days a week so I'm a rather busy guy most of the time. 155, 6 foot and your typical ecto. Strength goes up but mass doesnt. I'm rather happy with the weight I put up, but not with the weight I put on. Been lifting since gradeschool but never really been extremely knowlegible about it all. Just now really delving into the depths and learning a lot of stuff from places like this that I never really thought existed. In the process of giving my workout routine a facelift and been checking out the ones posted throughout the site (I'll let you know when I get it all together in the blog.) Right now its a 6 day a week thing, and basically one body part for each day. It's not bad but could be a lot better. Look forward to seeing you's around in the posts. Later.
Adam

Astounding? Well, as my philosophy has always been: If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, then baffle 'em with bullsh*t!
Anyway, welcaome, again, Adam. Don't throw away Arnold's book. I'm sure it's a wealth of information on the various exercises and if it inspires you, it's worth the price!

I will introduce my self now. I am 6 foot 165 pounds. I started training last november. I worked out before but it was nothing like being in a gym with so many options to work out different body parts. Currently i am injured in my left shoulder area but definately improving. i plan on getting back in the gym in about a week and a half. Before my resting period I would literally work out everyday. wether it is something light or heavy but i just went almost everyday. ALl i can say is that ddoing that is a bad thing becuase my body as a whole felt so much better when i HAD to rest it for my shoulder.
Anyways I live in Miami FL. I plan on being a Firefighter and im happy that i know my shoulder is healing.

Hey guys, just joined and i gotta say pleased to be here. i'm 26 and 6'1 weight 93kgs not sure what that is in pounds. started working out 2yrs ago and weighed 54kgs. after 2mnths gained 20 kgs and kept gaining slowly. My goal is to get stronger and fit. I don't have a set routine as I never had a trainer, just watched everyone else and learned. I hope to learn more about improving myself in this forum.
I come from NZ and have plans on being a policeman and reaching 100kgs.

Wlecome Aboard, Sohail and Humana!
If you want some feedback (and have thick skin) post your current routine and lets us take a look at it. Not that we have all the answers, but you might pick up some good suggestions here and there.
In fact, a lot of us have started blogs of our workouts. It's a great tool for keeping yourself motivated, knowing that someone else is looking over your shoulder. Kind of like having a cyber workout partner.

Intro
A month or so ago, I promised OF that I would introduce myself, so hear I be. I'm 30 years old, male, weigh about 170lbs right now, and try to keep myself active. I've been lifting since high school, not always very intelligently. But I like where I'm at right now. I've had a few health issues come up over the course of the past few years that have periodically prevented me from lifting or running or much of anything. And those involuntary hiatuses have really helped me to better appreciate the enjoyment I get out of being active.
Currently, I left every other day - whole body. On the days in between, I run for 20 to 30 minutes to keep the heart and other innards healthy. I take off from everything one day a week (to prevent myself from getting shin splints) and give myself an extra day or two of rest from the weights if I feel like I'm overtraining.
I'm big into stretching - doing it for 10 to 15 minutes before each lift workout. I figure that will help me out as I get older. I also try to do yoga once in a while to keep my back loose. I use spreadsheets to record my work-outs, diet, and body-weight/fat. Most of the reading I do these days is focused on nutrition (what to eat, when to eat) more than the actual work-outs. I'm a very disciplined person, to the point where I frequently find it more of a struggle to get myself to "give it a rest" than to "keep it up".
I'll be around.
