is this size ok?
hi i dont really do much gym work because i never have time anymore and i do the odd session here and there when i can fit it in. I was just wondering if 5 inches from top of biceps to bottom of triceps is an ok size for my arm because i dont know if they look "built" at all or just normal size? Im only 17 and 6"0 with an athletic build if that helps? thanks

depends on how defined they are, whats your body fat or how about a picture of them, that way we can tell how much is muscle

hey, elysium! good to hear from you again! it's been awhile...
5" may be fine, but if they're disproportional to the rest of your body, that's a different story! definition, thickness size, body fat, bone structure,... there's other stuff to consider. btw, what's your weight/mass?
also, measuring the distance around the engaged upper arm is more indicative than from top to bottom

Honestly though, you shouldnt worry about your size. Your 17 years old. Make sure you know what your doing in the gym, have good form and a good diet. Then the rest will come. And like MM said you dont wanna be disproportional. There are so many guys down here in FL that have huge beach muscles but no legs or no back. Its funny. So, dont be stuck on well my bi is 13 inches or not. Because not everyone is the same. Not everyone is gonna look like Arnold. Just be happy with you have.
I thought the same way you did and one day my dad told me take a picture of yourself with a bag over your head, or have someone take it for you. lol... Then when you see the pic you can see if you are happy with what you truely see. It helped me because i was getting to thick and bulking to much. Looked wierd on me and when i did that i was like wow what a freak. So try it.
Good luck with your training bro.
