Where is a good place to find some quality, cheap mats to protect the floors of a home gym owner?

Walmart always seems a place that have plenty of affordable stuff. Try to find the really large walmart (the ones that sell grocery) Those walmarts have more selection of certain products it seem. Good Luck.

Costco has some as well with circular holes in them. I cut it in half so that it covers the spots where the barbell plates contact the floor.

sasaku...

you don't say where you are located but if you have a Tractor Supply Compnay near you (or actually any farm or equine related supply place), they have stall mats that will do the trick nicely, and pretty low cost. The ones i have are 4x6 by almost an inch thick (and heavy!) and they were on sale for around $30.
