Body for Life
New member here. Just finished my 1st Body for Life Challenge and am starting #2. I've lost 16 lbs so far, now I'm looking to build muscle. I would love feedback on my before and after pics (scrolldown the page a bit) Fuzzy Fitness & The Shoe Cow
I would also love any recipes you might want to send me for posting on my site. Nice to meet you all!

Hey Fuzzy. Welcome to the Forum!
Great progress! I modfied your post slightly to make it a direct link. You also might comsider copying the link to your signature (just go to Edit post and copy my modification; then go to User/CP and go to Edit Signature).
I'd be curious to know what your current workout routine is. I bet if you upped the weight training you'd reach your goals a little quicker.

If she is foloowing body for life, there is not much room for altering the perscription. The program is a good one (there are better), but the complete fitness approach is commendable. Keep up the good work, and congrats on the progress. Any chance your planning on winning next time around, the challenge?

hey, fuzzyelf! welcome to the EF community!
great blogsite! even better to see that you persevered through the 12 weeks, too! now, what are you doing for your workouts?
my wife & i did B4L 3 years ago with great results. since then, we've modified out regimens to improve flexibility, agility, balance, speed & power.
my wife is 5' tall also, and went from 135 to 120, size 12 to size 6-7. unfortunately, we didn't take before & after pictures... but we sure went shopping for new clothes & she went nuts on shoes...!
as far as recipes are concerned, did you take a look at the food & recipe forum here at EF?
look forward to hearing from you soon, and feel free to PM me if i can be of any help!

Body for Life
Thank you all sooo much for the kind words.....I have sorta been halted with the working out stuff right now. They thought I had West Nile, but it's just a good old fashioned nasty kick-in-the-face sinus infection. Yuk...so I'm waiting it out....I am curious about the workout issue. It has been suggested to me that I should change to a split routine to "kick it up a notch" so to speak....and someone said there are better programs out there - I'd like more info if you could. The great thing about BFL is how it is so structered, so I'm a bit nervous about changing it too much and then ending up not knowing what I'm doing at all. Thanks, again!!!

well, you really don't want to lose more than 2 lbs a week (to be healthy about it and also to prevent loose skin)...Body for Life is just that - for life, but initially it is a 12 week program...so, I would think (I'm guessing here) that you might want to do 2 challenges in a row to lose that much fat....Of course alot depends on your genetics, your ability to put on muscle and so forth...I think that BFL or BFFM would both be excellent programs for someone just starting out. Here's some links to folks that lost alot of fat with BFL: (hope this helps)
