HI guys, im 15, and my 'chest bones' (above the pecs and below shoulder) are extremely popping out, not muscles surrounding them, and when knocked sound hollow. what can i do to strengthen them, lowwer them, and build muscle over them

you cannot actually train bones, they are just genetic, unless you break it and it repairs back stronger but that is a little extreme
you can however build muscle around it to help out, i think your talkin about the clavicle bone (collar bone) so i owuld reccomend working on your upper chest (overall chest actually) and shoulders,
dont worry about it for the moment your still very young (like me) and as you grow your bones will get stronger and develop better
you could try and take in some more calcium which is supposed to be good for the bones which can be found in milk and tabs
but overall i wouldnt worry about it at all at your age, just eat eat eat and then train

for your upper chest try incline presses and flys, if any certain exercises cause irritation, stay away from them for a while

Do Pushups (the illustration shows them being done with weight - do it without weight). You can vary it to work the upper chest more by putting your feet on a chair.

i read in a bio book for anatomy and pysiology that if you work out your muscles itll workout your bones as well. thats the only thing i remember from the whole book. anyways i might have a similar problem with the original poster. the right side of my sternum seems to stick out. http://www.gpc.edu/~jaliff/hubibo8.gif right where the collar bone meets teh sternum.i just noticed it this year. could this be from working out incorrectly in the past? i dont seem to be having any health probs, but could that misalignment of sternum and colar bone do something to me in the future? id go to the doctors but i dont seem to be in pain and i dont have insurance.
