pushup use - chest, triceps and delts so train them
pullups use - biceps and back (lats) so train them

use the following exercises:
bench press, incline bench press
close grip bench press, dips
shoulder press, military press

barbell and dumbell rows
curls, barbell and incline dumbell
lat pull down and wide grip pull ups

and of course just practice the exercises which you are trying to improve on

Like Adonis said if you want to get better and do more pushups and pullups, then the BEST thing to do is do alot more pushups and pullups. Practice them all the time until u can do alot easy.

Here's a good article from T-Nation on improving your chin ups: Keep Your Chin Up

Another interesting article about bodyweight exercises: The MacGyver Workout.

My advise for both exercises would be to use a variety of hand postitions and, for pushups, feet postitions. For pushups: feet on a bench, feet flat, hands in a bench, hands in close, hands wide, palms in, palms out, etc. Just do as many as you can.

For pullups: wide grip, close grip, palms in, palms out, etc.
