I do some of my chest workout in my kitchen - using the worktops corner for my dips sets.
I seem to get a better burn on my tri's and chest this way than i do using dip bars at my gym.
I go for a wider stance and do 4 sets of 18 reps with palms down facing forward.
Does anyone use this method? Do you have good results?

I have - also done bathroom dips between two parallel cabinets. The differrence in the distance between the two areas target the muscles differently.

Also have done rafter pull-ups in the garage!

Yeh, dips are my favourite exercise - i much prefer them to standard push ups.. I Don't seem to get the same stimulus. As far as chins are concerned, they're an exercise i would like to do more of but i can only hit about 6 reps with a palms forward wide grip - so i tend to give up. Any ideas? How many reps and sets will give me good results?

the more you do them, the better and stronger you will get at them, instead of giving up on them you should pay more attention to them because they are a weakness for you

I think you're right. Maybe i should start with lower reps (maybe 3-4) with about 6 sets to build initial strength. I don't think i am that weak in my lats and biceps, maybe my grip is weak?
I know about a year ago i was about 4 kgs lighter and managed 8-10 reps no prob.
I will try harder!
