Fat Overweight scared of dying this way..HELP!!
OK so I'm fat and havebeen for some time. Ive been foling myself for the longest time now and reality has hit me in the face. Yesterdya I bent over to tie my shoes and had a hard time breathing. For some reason my 290 pounds only looked like 240 on my 6' 3 frame. Anyway enough is enough I have been a "lurker" for a while and now I realize that my weight is a serious concern.
I have been considering a cutting steroid fro some time in conjunction with a massive amount of cardio. Anyway where should I start? Where is square one?
I started eating more (5x) a day smaller portions and cut out the soda and sweets. I like chicken, fish and some center cut pork loins. The only vegetables I like are broccoli and spinach raw or cooked.
I havebeen told to use Equipose & Sustanon ( the same thing right?) along with oral winstrol. Don't know where to get them or how. I could use some help on that too.
Anyway I've done enough talking now I need to listen... HELP and I am serious!
I have some embarasing pics but I dont know how to post them here.
Thanks

i think you should definitely NOT take the steroids, absolutely unnecessary
step on the cardio 3times per week prior to a weight lifting routine before
the key to your loss is DIET you must cut out all the shit, bad fats and high gi carbs, keep protein high, just have more calories going out than coming in
read the nutrition sections for help on eating and go to the members workout routine thread for help with training
read all stickies then ask questions

Just stay patient man. I was probably in pretty close (if not worse) proportion to you. I'm around 5'10/5'11" and I was at 250 pounds in October of '03. When you're real big like that and primarily fat, the initial loss happens FAST. Just start slow. If you can do thirty situps and ten pushups at a time, then you're in better shape than I was back then. After a month or two you'll look at yourself and it'll seem like you just lost twenty pounds while you were asleep the night before. That should be all the motivation you need to keep going
Long story short, I lost 75 pounds with relative ease (actually no real cardio at all), and put back on 25 pounds of muscle in about four months time. Don't even think about drugs yet, man. Just be prepared to laugh it off when friends and family ask you if you're messing with diet pills, cocaine, meth, and then steroids and shit later on like I've had to.
Best of luck, and definitely listen to these dudes around here

Squareone, just get your head in the game. You have always been sitting on square one, now it is time you move off of it. Listen to everybody here about just starting slow and go off on that. To be honest, whoever gave you advise about using steriod to cut, I gotta call that person a moron. Not like I have anything against steroids, but also to be frank, you obviously don't seem to be in the right mindset to use steriods correctly or understand their effects on you. Question to ponder, you have short-cutted for a long time now on not eating right which caused you to gain the weight you are today, what makes you think using a steroid drug to shortcut back is going to work? My advice to you wouldn't be giving you any routine to follow or what is right to eat, there are plenty of experts here that can provide you that information. My advice to you is that you get your mind straight on what you want to do and accomplish, but do it right for once. All you can do right now is focus on moving yourself out of that square and do something productive rather than cheat your way out. Don't take it the wrong way that I am yelling at you, well maybe partially I am, but just do something, but use your head, if something sounds too good to be true, sometimes it is, and worse, it might set you further back. I guess a good thread you should look at is the Motivation thread in this forum section http://www.extremefitness.com/forum/t43520.html Read that and figure out what you are doing. Good luck on your future progresses.

Welldone Squareone you have decided to take the first step towards a new life. Just imagine all the benefits and rewards you will receive from what you are about to do. It wont be long before your looking in the mirror and thinking that you look pretty damn good. Your confidence will go through the roof and you will be fitter and more agile than ever before opening up so many doors for you. But hey, it wont be easy and it aint no walk in the park. Remember "commitment, patience and perseverance" and you will not go wrong. This is all about a life changing attitude towards a new life not a fix for the summer so to speak like you here women talk about in the office when theyre moaning about getting rid of there stomach for the beach and start eating letteuce 24/7. Nope, you get your calories right down to acceptable levels, get rid of all the shit things you eat - make a point about learning about nutrition and how foods affect your body. Eat well, be healthy, work out and give it your all, as only 100% is worth giving when exercising or dont bother. Choose a cheat day, yep thats right i said cheat, meaning choose a day when you will allow yourself to relax with "some" food that you crave - im not saying give yourself a licence to gorge on buckets of shite NO, im saying have a slice of pizza if you want or a plate of chips, this is life my friend not torture. Almost like a small treat at the end of the week just one small cheating meal to take the edge off. My cheat is a nice T-Bone steak covered in blue cheese and full cream sauce and king prawn. Yup then its back to business. I work out now 4 times a week, i eat as clean as i can all week like an angel and saturday is my "relaxed" devil day.
Anyway best of luck my friend and hey keep us all posted with your progress, any help with nutrition, training can all be found here, what you cannot find then simply ask away.

Squareone,
Welcome to the board! This is a good place to start and the fact that you're here asking questions is a good sign, as we're all here to help each other. You started the right way, by limiting sweets, and hopefully excess fats like butter, oil etc... over the top of foods. I think that far too often people try to starve themselves initially, which doesn't help. You shouldn't be hungry, you just shouldn't be eating high calorie, low nutrient density foods. Fruits, veggies, lowfat breads, grains, lean meats and cheeses etc... are all going to keep you fueled and losing weight. Start with some light cardiovascular exercise, preferably something you like to do, e.g. walking, hiking, swimming, biking, ball sports etc... You just have to do more than you're currently doing, and resign yourself to doing it for the short term, and eventually it will become more habitual. Keep us updated as well. I lost 67 pounds back in the day, and at the time, i did no cardio, just dietary modifications.

I am with you. I recently have begun my weight loss trek (read about it here) and know what you are talking about. So, if in any way I can help or be a support let me know.

if u look at it, u were accostumed to bad eating, and u got the way u are..and it happened before u knew it right? Loosing the weight should be the same thing. change your habits and your mindset and your as good as a sexy hunk. And then time. But Time is meaningless....how old are u? how many days have just sort of drifted away as if they were smoke, or fog? And now your in many years...days make years, and your many of these.
We humans were meant to live happily, the way we were built, strong and lean.
Our bodies are masters of destruction. We are machines.
Somebody said earlier that you will lose it quickly...hes very right!
Your body responds to the wear and tear with glee, it inspires and encourages your body.
It then bites into your gut and removes it in an inhuman( very much so) frenzy....to be gone forever.

Man, i appreciate this conversation. I did the mountain again is a 2 mile constant climb. it is not steep but the incline is visible. So I go up and down it each day. Sometimes I start down and work back up then i switch. I try to keep my body fromgettng use to the excercise. I'm not ready for weights in that I feel I should just drop weight and work on eating right. Do those 2 things for atleast 1 month or so and then add weights once I have the 1st two down.
What do you guys think.
I am eacting 5 times a day, shrimp, scallops, chicken, boled eggs, plan long grain wild rice, broccoli, tuna, fresh mixed greens and fruit: pineapple, apples, strawberrys. The fruit also act as a "sweet" for me cause I love sweets so the pineapple takes the urge off for sugar.
What about brown sugar. I love oatmeal fro breakfest I heard it is a good source of protein?
Thanks again fellas.
I plan to post a pic every 2 weeks

Hey Squareone!
Just a little question for you: How many boiled eggs are you eating in a day? Do you eat the yolks, too?
As for the oatmeal, the store-brand, instant oatmeal that we buy contains 4 grams of protein per each individual package. That said, I really don't see that as a lot of protein (that's just my opinion, of course ).
If I'm looking for a protein boost, I sometimes mix in a scoop of protein powder (generally an extra 20 grams or so of protein, and about 120 calories). Not only does it add protein, but it also adds flavor.
I'm sure someone will chime in with answers to your questions concerning your exercise, eating habits, and brown sugar.
Keep up the awesome work! Don't give in! You got this!

I know you've got your own goals in my mind, and once again, props to you for getting started.
But, I just gotta say it again... I was in the same boat as you are now, and I started dropping tons of fat before I started lifting, so, I'm telling you...
HIT THE WEIGHTS, MAN!
Haha, not trying to sound pushy, and I hope somebody backs me up here, but I can't stress enough how valuable weight training would have been had I started lifting in '03 instead of the middle of '05. After dropping 75 pounds, then putting on 25 while my waistline is still getting smaller, I can only imagine what kind of gorgeous marble statue of a beast I would be today had I been lifting back then
That's all, I won't keep insisting because it's your call. But just remember, I was once a pile of blubber, and once a no-arms thin-chested sissy who realized that "skinny" wasn't the way to go either.

Presa your exactly right....
Is it not amazing the changes one can make to the quality of ones life by will?
Squareone....do what you have been doing...keep on doing it...dont you give in, ever. look at the end of the road, the girls smile at you, and you know deep down that your a HERO. What a cause! It almost makes me want to get fat , so i could lose it and laugh in its face again! lol...
dude...what a calling, seriously...the will to succeed...
At the end of the road, you go to a pool feeling almost feeling like your promoting yourself your so happy that you can show off. I used to be where your at, beleive it or not, losing needed work. But its a one-time thing, and then you have triple the amount of happiness as of b4! Anyway, im rambling...
Good luck....this is a fairly easy process that only involves habit changing.
Yes, i say again, no man is incapaple of weight loss....i mean it, no man
Dude im so excited for you.. How happy you will soon become. No, im not presuming, youve made the decision. Follow through ... and become a hero dude..
Strength and Honor,
-Champ
