help, very wierd body structure for male
hi, im 18 years old and am national team cyclist for wales and GB. i am mainly a road racer and time trialist, but do a lot of track and CX in winter. but i hav a problem, my thighs have a lot of cellulite and are very wide compared to my body. its so wierd, i do on average 15 hour a week training with pro's sometimes and race big national level races. i am very solidly built, at 5 foot 11 and 81kg and my upper body is very well toned with hardly any fat. my thighs though are very fat, and are gettin increasingly wider, not muscle though, its definately fat. this is really worrying me, ive spoken to my dad who is a orthopeadic surgeon and my mum who is a physio therapist, they don't know whats happening. its interfering with my lifestyle as its starting to make me depressed and less enthsiatic to race, i cant stand teamates telling me about why my thighs are so big. please help, this is causing me a lot of mental suffering, especially as ive applied for medicine and have to get toip grades this summer to get into med school.. i have to revise but im just getting too distracted. thanks, please leave any comments.

Stop doing so much damn long duration cardio. You have taught your body to conserve it's fat stores (and add additional ones) by burning so many calroies in a day. For the next 12 weeks, follow a HIIT type of cardio program.
]Youll need to do a search to find out more about HIIT

Definitely post the diet and add intensity as posted above.
You can also consider getting your hormone levels tested.

diet, etc.
well my diet consists of carbs in morning, and a cardio workout, and from here on the amount of carb consumed through the day decreases and at night i only try to eat lean protein sources. i take whey protein on days where i weight train and also take multivitamins. generally my diet is pretty good. my interval training started this week, the winter was the period of off season base training and gym work, now the intense intervals start. im going for a hormone test today because i suspect a high oestrogen level and need some sort of treatment.

Seriously stop doing all long duration cardio. Look to only do 15-25 minutes of cardio 3x each week max, for the next little while. You need to eat lean protein with every meal. Fats are best consumed in the later part of the day (with protein, and choose healthy fats) and carbs in the morning (with protein).
Eat fruits/and or vegetables with every meal. Your body will deal with fruits better in the morning, and veggies later in the day.
Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
You may want to try a tribulus product (however you are very young, so there probably won't be any effect).
Your estrogen levels are probably fine (assuming your a male).
Like I said earlier, your body has been taught to conserve your sugar and fat stores, because of the extreme amounts of long duration cardio you have been doing. Think logically here.
The body likes to stay in balance, so if your expending 4000 calories each day, it will try and conserve 4000 calories each day. Unfortunately, your probably only storing fats and carbs.
Stop eating and cooking with any type of oil other than coconut oil (it is a medium chain triglyceride, and is used immediately for energy. It's not often stored in the body as fat.
As far as the healthy fats go:
Try alternating on a bi-weekly basis, cold olive oil (on vegetables, and other stuff. Use as a sauce in small amounts.), cod liver oil, flax oil, and salmon oil.
You can also try, evening primrose oil, and hemp oil. And once every couple months, include some Udo's Choice oil.
Alternating between them all, prevents your body from getting used to one source.
Don't buy any of the oils other than the fish ones in capsules. The gelatin competes with the oil, and one will be stored as fat.
Those are the fats you need.
Increase your water intake to 3-4 litres each day.
Hope that helps.

I didn't say to cut fat out of your diet, just limit fat from other sources than those listed. You can expect to get fat from meats and fish, as well as milk products. Don't worry about that fat, just make sure the rest of it is good fat

A note on supplement, since you are competing, make sure they are approved by whichever federation you belong to. Better safe than kicked out on a pee test.

You clearly have very powerful legs, which are genetically predisposed to storing fat on them before anywhere else on your body. This probably aids you and gives you a natural talent for sports where leg power is an advantage. I’m similar in build and was always the fastest runner and swimmer as a kid, and still am… although don’t compete with anybody. I think your getting dismorphic tendencies about this as your legs can’t possibly be as fat as you make out. Ask any girl and she’ll tell you powerful legs and arses are a turn on! Your team mates are obviously jealous.
You’re probably a good thrower as well just look at all the best baseball pitchers.
