Sounds like you just need to build up your tolerance levels.
The human body is an amazing machine. It can just about adapt to anything you do.
If you want to be able to run more than one mile in one session, you'll need to build up your muscles' endurance levels. That takes time, but it can be done. Try running just one mile three days a week for the first week. The next week, try running 1.25 miles three days a week. Then the next week, try running 1.5 miles three days a week, and so on.
One last thing, you don't have to run long distances to be able to get a six-pack. Running 100-yard sprints are very beneficial towards getting that six-pack. Especially if you combine it with interval training.
Example:
- Warmup by jogging around the track for one lap, then do about 5 minutes of dynamic stretching.
- Run a 100-yard spring at 90% of max speed.
- When you get to the finish line, immediately jog back to the start line.
- When you get back to the start line, immediately repeat the whole process again. Repeat it for as many times as you're comfortable with.
