Chest pains
This morning when i woke up i had a aching/crushing pain in the centre of my chest. Last night i trained my chest and I flat barbell bench pressed my highest weight yet. I did 5 reps of this so it was hardly 'extensive' i also never really worked my chest that hard last night (ive trained harder and not felt a reaction like this). Its like a pain on my chestbone and when i breathe in exageratively or twist my upper body it really hurts and spreads across my chest. Does anyone recognise this feeling from after training, or do you think its something else i might need to see a doctor about, cheers guys

sometimes i would get some kind of pain liek that when i wouldnt train chest for a while, and sometimes i would get this sharp pain in my sternum until i would rotate a certain way and it would make a popping noise like popping your knuckles and it would feel as if the pressure is off.
if it persists to hurt i would see a doc to make sure its not a serious injury.

I get a pain similar to what you're experiencing. I always thought it was heart related though.

Try some contrast therapy. I would do cold/hot/cold. Just a few minutes of each. You probably just strained it pretty good. Are you taking any supplements? You may want to pop some aspirin or another pain killer.

i think it would be best to see for a few days if the pain subside, if not, it would be better to see the doc. I got this pain too when i used to do dips. Then i notice its my form that is wrong. I used to curve my chest in when go down and never tense my body, and then i realise the pressure is mostly on my joints, i would think its the same prob with u?

yea its normal for me, been happening for a while now. i dont know if its the sternum popping cause that would involve joints but i do hear popping noise and and a relief of pressure after doing it. it never causes pain or does it follow and pain.
