Default LIFTING & CARDIO dilemma

Hey all! Currently ive been doing a lot of cardio and a lot of lifting and it just seems that my cardio sessions are counter-acting my lifting sessions. Its like all my protien intake and built musle is all lost due to cardio. The ony reason i do cardio is to lose a bit of belly but when i do my lifting results dont improve they decline(i lose all the muscle i built).I was wondering is it possible to lose the belly by just lifting? I dont eat junk i dont drink booze and i dont smoke.Im on a high protien diet with balanced carbs and fat. Can it be done or do i have to cut altogether before concentrating on lifting and bulking up??????

Some power lifts like squats, deadlifts,or clean & jerks(Don't like) increase overall burn & increase.
Intensify your cardio AFTER your weights.
I do the bike on hills level(7-8) keep rpm at 80 untill you reach the hill(Lifecycle),then go to 100+!
After your 1 min sprint & you are off the hill keep to 80 again untill the next hill
This is a 24 min bike ride on the lifecycle, then jog 8-15 min on treadmill on a 3-4 incline.
That's a SOLID 35 mins!!!

You cant lose weight and gain muscle, on very large scales, the whole concept of gaining muscle is allowing your body to grow by intaking more calories than needed.

Yah I've got the same issue, don't want to lose weight, want to lose fat, and gain muscle.

I hear high intensity interval training (HIIT?) may be the thing - eg. sprints up hills, interval training on the stepper etc? Anyone else with further thoughts on losing fat (especially around the gut) and maintaining or gaining muscle?

Parrish I just noticed that hill setting on the back - that qualifies as interval training I guess

Try running in the AM, lifing PM, or a way to keep lifitng and cardio seperate. IT is tough to gain mass while hitting cardio to lose weight. Look to a good diet with tons of protein for help.

Just lift to gain size and strength ... larger muscles burn more cals .. so If you have your diet in check then you will eventually loose the gut...
