Default Should a person do abs everyday?

I know a lot of people do, (myself included) but is it better to do them every other day or what?

This is pretty much the same question STEEL_UK asks in his thread posted earlier today. Check out what INSEX had to say in that discussion.

Personally, I train abs every few days. I feel like a few sets every day can't hurt.

abs are a muscle just like any other. they are used more by the body for stabilization though. So they are used to lots of reps. So stay heavy and keep the reps high. like 15-20 for abs is like 6-8 for other body parts. but for training them every day? depends on what results you want. if they need to be bigger, train them heavy 5 days a week. more defined? higher reps, 4-6 days a week + cardio 4-6 days a week

Your abdominals. as mentioned before, are like any other muscle. Do you work legs everyday even though you walk on them?? Hell NO!!!!!!!!!!

Abs need time to heal and repair to become bigger and stronger.

Some people still fail to realize that abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym

at peak I do them isolatedly twice per week with obl twice per week, some say that is 4 times and with the work I do on routine, plyos etc, some say daily so it all depends on how you look at things.

I personally do them every day, or rather, every day that I work out. But i'll do different types of exercises for them just to hit them differently. Either weighted or just using bodyweight, or even just leg lifts instead of crunches.
