I do track my intake but not as closely as I should. I more or less make sure I'm getting a calorie surplus. one I start with my calorie decrease I'm for sure going to have to keep better track. Probably get me one of them fit day accounts

Well I have to go out of town for meetings which really sucks. I hate having to find gym and pay the drop in fees and fill out the form every time. Sends my motivation in the toilet. Plus the guys alway want to go drinking in the evenings and then I don't go to the gym. It wouldn't be so bad but I'm taking a week off in 2 weeks because I'm going on holidays so I don't want to take this week off. The termoil!!!

Well the Gaining mission is over and was a success in my view. I neglected my legs AGAIN but did get some growth. My goal is now to Loose the fat I gained during this time an lean out. But here are the final results:
Part > Vs Last > Vs Start
Bicep > +3/8 > +1 3/4 (Past goal)
Chest > +3/4 > +1 7/8 (past goal)
Calf > +1/8 > + 1 (Close to goal)
Quad > 0 > +1 1/2 (reached goal)
Weight > +25lbs (not all muscle)
I may get brave and post some pics but not sure yet. I'm small compared to the rest of you guys due to my extreme lack of discipline but am the biggest I've ever been. Plus I gained a bunch of belly fat that is part of my new mission to lose.
So Now I'm on a week off which will consist of a lot of sitting around and probably a bunch of drinking. But when I get back to it on Easter monday, I will be embarking on the "Fat loss Journey!" A perilous tale where my discipline and will power will be put to the test. Where I will have to force myself into the difficult world of Diet logging and crap food avoidance. It won't be easy but I hope to find my way through.

Well here it is, where I ended up. well I'm not that big and am really hestitant about putting this up but we'll see. Can always take it down. I'm gonna start leaning out a bit now and will start building again in fall. I need a lot of work on my chest I know. Please critique as you wish and if you want to be brutally honest that is appreciated but I'd prefer that in a PM.

Great job on the gains... meeting and passing your goals... that is awesome.
You remind me of a good friend of mine... he is thin also, but he is what we say in the states: "wiry" (I guess that's a universal term though).
Besides... unless you are planning on entering a contest, your only competition is yourself.

Thanks man, right now that is who I am competing against. at least its the the me in the mirror. In fact I'm competing with a lot of aspect of me and am going to win. I'm competing against the me in the mirror who doesn't look the way I want, against my muscles that say quit, against my ears that listen to people say that skipping a workout is OK, against the lazy teenager that still lingers in me that says the work just isn't worth it, my tongue that craves the sweets, and most importantly that voice that tells my I can't do it so don't even try. Want to kick all their asses!!
I am now going to lean out the fat that I gained. There wasn't too much but I know its gonna be stubborn so here goes. July 1st is my goal. I want to be able to see most of my 6 pack. This week starts today and so does the mission.

The leaning Begins
So I sleep in but find my way onto the treadmill. Only 15 minutes of speed intervals but it's my first time on since last summer so I wanted to ease into it. Then I went to work and on my break started a FitDay account.
I was convince to have peanut butter pie but its really good but I know that was wrong. When I go home, I walk the dogs and start my workout, I decide to do Chest/Back on a superset. One chest exercise followed immediately by a back working. I thought I was going to throw up!!
So anyways, I finish entering everything into fitday and I've got a calorie surplus!! well slap my ass and call me Sally I was suprised. Man I've got to tighten things up here!!
Oh well, try again tomorrow!

While reading all of your past posts within this thread, you were describing yourself in a way that made you seem out of shape. So I expected to see a picture of a guy that was out of shape. But after viewing the picture of yourself that you just posted, you don't look out of shape at all. In fact, you look like many of the lightweight bodybuilders that compete in the shows that I compete in--I'm a heavyweight, so I compete against much bigger competitors. The main difference between those lightweight competitors and you is that they have defined six-pack abs; other than that, you look like you're in good shape and you could definitely enter a bodybuilding show and do well if you get more serious and leaner.
So beginning right now, you should put forth 100% effort because you have the ability to go beyond your goal for July 1st. In fact, you probably would have reached your goal already if you had been putting forth 100% during all this time that just passed.

Thanks man, I really need a little push/kick. I really don't think I got out of vacation mode there. Give it my all is now the mission.
Stop eating like crap!! Stop skipping the cardio!! It will be tough next week as I've got a short business trip to content with but now that I have my "bands" that I can pack in my suitcase, it takes away any excuses.
Thanks again!

Well I made a decision. since last week doing supersets left me comletely worn out and drenched in sweat, I realised that they are something I should be doing so thats my new routine.
Monday - Chest/back superset
Tuesday - Legs/calves superset then core
Wednesday - Bi-tri superset
Thursday - Legs/calves superset
Friday - Shoulders, then core
Hope that works.

Pretty much any type of workout will work. The only thing you've got to make sure of, is that you do the workout on a consistent basis and that you do the entire workout with 100% effort. The workout will not fail you, only you can fail the workout.

Well I'm totally behind on wher I want to be. I was doing so well too. My allergies (which I never had until a few years ago) have been causing me to sleep in and feel exceedingly lazy. I know its only an excuse and I must rise above but I've been having problems with it.
I hope to turn it around this week. I started out well this morning with a good run on the treadmill and have some chicken breasts thawed out for supper so hopefully I can keep it up!

Well I failed at my goal but I know why and its all my own fault. I did drop bodyfat but not to the pooint that I wanted to. I'm thinking of trying again with a new deadline and coming up with a better plan. If I can wake up earlier I know I can be successful. I also realise that although my cardio is decent, its not as much as I should do especially considering that Flag football season is just around the corner.
Well I just need some time to dwell and come up with a good plan for the next few months.

Chin up Varbo, we've all missed a deadline or two. I have found, that when I'm motivated I make the best reductions with morning cardio. It seems to ramp up the motabolism for the whole day. Also I think it's easier to burn into the fat stores when the stomach is fairly empty. I'll have a bannana and protien, then 15 minutes later hit the elyptical or the road. I feel peppier on those days as well.
