Competition Question

If you enter the open division and master division in a NPC Bodybuilding contest do you have to pose twice or just once? I want to enter both divisions but do not want to have to pose two times. Anyone know?

My last contest was over 12 years ago, but the answer from then is: yes.

I entered the Masters and the Novice class. You have to pose in each group during the pre-judging. The point is to compare you with the others in your group.

In the night show, however, I just posed once. That's basically just for show anyway, unless you win your weight class and do a pose down with the other weight class winners (not a problem that I had).

Old Fart2 is dead-on correct.

The night show is for the choreographed routines...and then if you win your class you would be doing the mandatory poses again at night against the other class winners...to determine the overall champion.
