Getting As Cut As Possible Before A Show
I've got my first bodybuilding contest coming up on Saturday 4/22/06. I'm a newbie to bodybuilding so I am unfamiliar with preparing myself before a show. So far I have shaved, bought a bronzer and Dream Tan, and got myself a nice and tight pair of posing trunks.
My question is how do I get rid of as much subcutaneous fluid as possible before a show? This event is an all-natural bodybuilding competition. So I cannot and do not want to use diuretics or anything dangerous. I would like to give myself the best possible chance of winning, but I do not want to kill my body doing it.
Any helpful advice would be very much appreciated.

I never prepared for a bodybuilding competition, so you definitely want someone else's advice, but my guess is you should drink half as much fluid tomorrow as you did today, and half as much on the 21st as you did tomorrow, and almost none on the 22nd. You probably should have started to reduce your water intake a few days ago though.

Prior to any bodybuilding competition, competitors usually lower their water intake a either a few days, or a day beforehand.
This creates a deficit in water in the body which take out the water retention factor and give the muscles maximum definition.
however, becareful not to be fully dehydrated as you may stand the chance of fainting on stage due to the heat and the "pressure"....
regarding nutrition....again, you've gota cut down on that aswell, but you have to eat....you'll need to energy todo all the poses.
good luck

You should be carb cutting 17 days out then carb loading 5-7 days out and you can cut water on Thursday down to a liter and sips of that liter on Friday, none and you will go flat.
You should get some natural herb diuretics like shredded or similar.

Fourth place. Not too bad for my first time. I had a blast though, I think I'll sign up for another competition soon. Although I want to put on some more size before I enter my next one. I was about 204 lbs. at this first one, I want to try to be a solid and lean 215 lbs. in the next one.
