Default Help with Red Color Shift

I am pulling my hair out over what appears to be a red color shift on my Mac. Can anyone check page two of "Rayma........Aussie Body Model" and have a look at the large "bum" shot. When I posted that image it was supposed to have nice, warm, natural skin tones. After re-calibrating my monitor it appears that my last few months work looks like it has been shot through red cellophane.
My question is, was my calibration out when I was working on these shots, or is it out now since my last calibration?
The answer lays in your feedback. If it looks red to you, then I have found the problem and need to go back and adjust all of my recent shots. If it looks like normal skin tone, then I think I need to look for a hardware/software glitch.

Thanks

Greg, the color in that shot seems to be in line with the others of similar lighting, the tones seem very natural. I don't see any of the redness you allude to.

I hope this is helpful information. I went through the same ordeal last summer trying to get colors to seem vibrant, and after working for hours and not seeing results, I switched to a different computer and saw immediate results. Then I kicked myself in the groin a few times.

Nice pics by the way, especially the one you directed me to.

Thanks for the feedback Redwing. You have been a great help. At least now I know that this is a recent problem and all of my recent work is colour balanced. I would hate to think I have been posting crap images. I'll have to start working through the hardware issues so I can start posting some more pics.
I would love to take credit for that shot, but it was taken by my good friend, Tony Ryan. (the rest are mine).

Thanks again for your help. You have saved my sanity.

If your problem is present with only this one image, it is unlikely that the problem is software or hardware. It is far more likely that your image file is corrupt and the color calibration directory contained within it is no good. If you can find this image from another source, download it and see how it looks.

If you have concerns about calibration of your monitor, download SuperCal. It is an effective way to calibrate images for use on PCs or Macs. The Gamma factor of PCs is about 2.2 to 2.4. The Gamma factor on Macs is about 1.8, so images prepared specifically for one will look too bright/dark on the other.

SuperCal is free for testing, costs about $20, and can be found at:
