Recently I had the opportunity to hike a small county park in San Jose, Ca. It is mostly famr land for grazing cattle, but it had some nice trails. The wildflowers were the highlight, and Insex requested the pics, so I thought I'd throw a couple out there:
This is the Turkey Vulture that passed about 20 feet from our heads while we were on the trail. This is the pic of his return swoop in our direction, since my cameras shutter speed wasn't able to get his first pass.
Just a simple deer that was grazing next to another young female, though we never saw the buck that had to have been floating around somewhere.
