I hate to say it again- but I have had more fun interacting with all of the great members here over the months. I came here for the babes, but I end up having a lot more fun in the lounge and PM'ing back and forth. Oh yeah, the verified babes are pretty nice also!!!! Gotta love the chance to chat with the lovely ladies!

I joined when it was VoB haven, and believe me that was awesome. But then I realised the error of my ways and started to post in the Lounge and in the fitness sections, and now I'm reaping the benefits.
EFF means good chat and great recreation to me. I don't come for the babes any more.

I came for the POB originally but lately I find myself spending
more and more time in the lounge. I have made a few friends
here and hope to make a lot more. So I gues to answer your
question emreka I have to say Friendship is what EF means
to me also.

In the last few weeks I found that the POB game was becoming almost addicting- spending 6 - 7 hours a day working on finding new content. And the worst part was that it was while I should be focusing on my business. Definitely something that would be a plus in my life if it wasn't an option. I get just as much enjoyment kicking it in the lounge, BD theads, and cruising the rest of the site.
Some may be pissed at me for this--
But if the POB was taken away for "the good of the site" It would be something that steers us again in the right path of connecting with the great people in this group. Having fun, talking trash, the different crazy "fights in the lounge", and messing around in the games and trivia- is what I like to get wraped up in anymore.
But- I have just as good a time doing this kind of stuff here. Good times!! May be a good turn- just worried about the new Fitness Babes sections...

EF was the best thing hapend to me in 2005. i was looking for some routines in search engine and i ended clicking extremefitness.com
i spent a few weeks just scanning it and after looking at the members i decided to join and i was glad it was all free. its been a good learning experience to me all this way. the babes forum also gives inspiration to come back again n again.thnxs to the people who have made this site and are working on it.
asking help from the members in pm's and getting their replies boosted me.
the rep points i get make me happy and motivate me.keep up the good work guys.
RESPECT.

Friendship and Respect have already been stated. Nonetheless, I hope that you do not mind me adding a few more:
Courage- To ask questions and learn
Honor- To help those who ask questions as best we may, and provide them with the support that they need
Knowledge- Learning
Intelligence- Knowing how to apply what we have learned
Wisdom- Knowing when to apply what we have learned
Maturity- Respecting everyone and their voice
Integrity- Being able to be respectfully honest and honestly respectful
Strength- Having the ability to help each other and ourselves overcome any obstacle that we may encounter
Unity- Realizing that we are nothing without each other
Humor- Taking the time to remember the lighter and brighter aspects of life
And the list goes on.........

Well now - and no i ain t gonna jump under the spot light and say "theres a new giraffe in town" LOL
For me the bodybuilding info and support are what attracted me to this great plane of virtual existance known as extremefitness. I joined a gym nearly a year ago and im hooked on the "my body is a temple" kinda shit. Ive found everything i need to know on here. Also during the day at work i just love to sit in my chair in my office and add to the merryment and japery found in the lounge whilst getting paid for it, gives me such a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment. There is a great sense of friendship in here and everyone looks out for everyone - you probably get a better deal in here than the real world out there. Anyways as you all know this website is the centre of the universe and without it chaos would dominate, the world would be a feeble dark smelly place to inhabit. Life would have no purpose, everyone would be a member of the crime syndicate, there would be far more squirrel pictures everywhere torturing our souls, Ef babes would all have beards etc etc etc...................................but luckily EF is here and is here to stay so we can all live and die happily ever after.

i would agree with all that has been said before this particular post. even when i was asking the most mundane of "newbie" questions at no point did anyone scorn or "tut - tut" the information i requested back to me. there are some excellent threads and information on this site. sure i joined because of the POB forum but then discovered that all my exercise, diet and workout questions could be answered here to. without a shadow of doubt this is the Best site i've ever had the privilage of participating on. i can't really offer much from a fitness knowledge point of view but i ramble through the different forums on the site and give an opinion where i can. so thanks to everyone who keeps this site going. EF to me means Knowledge, Great Advice & Fun.

Where do I start...
This was my normal life before EFF...
The cars were always washed and kept clean...
The dog was washed aswel...
I played golf...
The lawns were always mowed and edges snipped....
I used to help with the kids homework....
I hung out the clothes on wash days....
I had time to go fishing.....
I had time to make ma own beer....(now I buy it)
I had real life friends....
I used to cook dinner...
I took my wife out to dinners...
I slept in my bed with the wife instead of the lounge...hehhehe
Greggy is turning me into a nutter just like him...before him I was stable..
To tell you the truth Emreka started it and greg is putting the final nails in.
Unkl was on my side now I am not so sure...He sent ma a virus...
The B man from St Africa is also against me because we flogged him in cricket..So called friend...hehehe
The place looks like shit cause I am to worried about this place....
thank good for WI and a few others or I would be in the loony bin by now.HELP!!!!!

Nice Thread
This is a great thread - I am only a once in a while visitor to the site, but am mostly impressed with the fallout and response to the decsion to pull POB. I think for many of us, it has made us really look at EF and embrace it as the community it is. It's also got rid of the POB posting zombies - they've either returned to the grave or gone elsewhere and I say good riddance.
Normally, I have very little to say regarding things - usually deciding to see what other members are discussing in regards to fitness & nutrition. BTW - dadouchbag's nutrition thread is highly informative and useful (I just wish I could always maintain my diet discipline!!). Not to single just that thread out, there are tons of threads like it. I for one know that this site has motivated me personally to keep fit and stay on top of my diet, and the message is delivered in a personal way with real people speaking in plain language. And everybody (especially the mods and top dogs) seem to be super helpful and committed to including newcomers - not making them feel like outsiders.
So what does EF mean to me?? Firstly, community and inclusion. I think this site has a focus on personal responsibility and consequences for acting like a tool - in my mid-twenties I have mellowed a bit, but could see some of our younger members (I shouldn't really exclude myself, here) really benefitting in their maturation process physically, spiritually and mentally by hanging around here and seeing that we can all be alpha males, but should act like respectuful adults, committed to helping one another out. And EF can be just plain fun sometimes like the 'What are you listening to right now?' thread, 'favorite beer' thread and 'movie game'.
So that's my spiel on this - maybe you'll be hearing from me more. Keep up the great work everyone and thanks FP!

A great resource loaded with professionals who are willing to dispense advice (for free) and fellow travelers to share in the journey to physical health and well-being.

I joined originally for the POB...and I will admit, I used the site for that only for awhile. However as of late I have completely come around to the other great aspects of this site. The forums can help almost anyone with health issues and/or questions...the lounge and chat are great places to chill and meet people who have similar interests with different points of view. The place is great. I said something of this sort in another post somewhere, but I don't feel as though it can be said enough.
EF is great, I hope it sticks around for a long time without being too hindered by people who act as I used to, just leeching off of what was around. The community is excellant. To all who keep this site up and running, congratualations on a job well done and please keep up the good work. MERCI BEAUCOUP MES AMIS!
