Pictures of the sound barrier
Ok folks, for all of you who have never personally seen the sound barrier, feast your eyes on the pictures.
Actual photos of the sound barrier
This phenomenon only happens at the instant an Aircraft breaks the sound barrier .
And it literally appears like the aircraft goes through a wall.

i think that's neat....but i couldn't help but laugh. my mangled mind wandered off as i looked at the pictures and i realized that the sound barrier cloud that the planes are breaking through kinda look like those cones we put on dogs to get them to feel shame and/or get them to stop licking stuff that needs to be healed. i don't know much about planes, but i do know that some are called dog fighter planes. i have no clue if those are or not...but the idea of dog fighter planes wearing those white cones makes me laugh. this one in particular makes me think of that...
but anyway, back on topic, yes i think that's quite interesting.

yeah...i'm usually not all there in the head. it's both a gift and a curse. 
anyway, back to the sound barrier breakage stuff, i found a video on youtube that describes how those sonic booms occur and all that fun stuff if anyone is interested. it's pretty nifty.
edit: i have no clue how to turn that video into just an ordinary link, so hopefully it's not a big deal. if it is, let me know and i'll try and fix 'er.
