I thought it was totally amazing. This is the first "comic book type" movie that my wife actually liked and said she would see it again. Downey is really good in it!!!

Any chance I could bring a six and a ten year old to it? I heard there is some sex in it? Opinions on that?

The sex was real brief and you did not see any skin. There was violence but it wasn't really bloody, there were a few dead bodies. It is hard for me to say because I don't know what you kids are use to.

I think it may have close to the edge for me when I was 6, but I remember loving Empire Strikes Back at around that age, so maybe I'm being a bit over-protective of young-pliny_2001. Today's 6-year-olds would probably be fine with it -- just take them to an early show (that's for me - I don't like kids at night movies, even though I doubt Iron Man would make a good date flick.
I really enjoyed it, my friends enjoyed it, the whole theater enjoyed it. But I don't think it was as good as Spidey II or X-Men I, or especially the Tim Burton Batman (Batmen?) or Batman Begins. But it takes a lot to dislodge those films in my nerd-superhero pantheon.

real good movie. on par with Spidey I and X-Men II (i consider those the best of each trilogy) and Batman Begins...
Also, there were trailors for The Dark Knight and The Incredible Hulk... Dark Knight looks absurdly awesome... Hulk - the movie sucked the first time, not sure why they made a new one, but i guess we will find out.
Downey is perfect to play a billionaire sex crazed drunk. i think 6 year olds could handle this movie, but then again, im 26, so what the hell do i know about parenting...

Loved it. Best super hero/ comic book movie ever. I took my 6 y/o daughter and ten y/o nephew. It did not scare my daughter at all.
The bed room seen was really brief, (the preview for Adam Sander's next flick was more graphic/lewd). Other than that 5-10 second span, the movie was kid friendly.
It had an adult theme (awakening and redemption), with cartoon violence (Iron Man just simply rag dolls the baddies).
It was GREAT.

I took the whole fam damily to see it. My boys are 8 and 10, so there was no problem. I laughed out loud when Stan Lee was mistaken for Hugh Heffner.
I enjoyed it and thought it was pretty well done.

Loved it. Not sure I'll take my 13 year old, although after seeing it might not be that bad for her. I don't care for some of the violence where they are holding guns to kids heads and all (for my little girl to see anyways).
Downey pulls it off perfectly.

Excellent!!!
I thought the way they played a bit on Robt Downey Jr's well known public persona was very well done. Loved it....I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.
