I created a Social Group for those playing fantasy football. I guess it could be a place for us to talk some trash about the football season and our fantasy teams.
Also, there are still some open spots. Anyone interested can see the league registration info in this thread. It's easy and best of all it is FREE. All you need is a Yahoo account.
Anyone who has joined, if you have any friends who you think would be interested, feel free to invite them to join up. It's always better to have the full 12 teams.

Yeeks...
...man...I have a cycling event down here ( The Hotter than Hell 100 ) and I doubt I'll be done by 1 o'clock. I'll try though...
I probably had better pass on signing up so I don't keep someone else out who can play for sure...

If you've ever done a draft on Yahoo, you'll know this already but... if you can't be online for the draft, your picks will be automated and based on Yahoo's default rankings which are typically decent. You can also pre-rank some players before the draft, so if say, you are a Cowboys fan, you can put those guys at the top of your list.
Besides, as a veteran of fantasy sports leagues and a commish for many, I would much rather have someone absent from the draft who is active during the season instead of the other way around.

There might be a limit to the number of characters in the team name.
Also, remember that as commish, I have a wide array of powers. I might just "regulate" all of your good players to the other teams in the league who "need them more than you". We'll call it "redistributing the wealth" of the league more equitably.

As the Commish of the league you are god, I will head and obey, just as along as I get all those great players that you talk about

Draft Time: Sat Aug 23, 1:30pm EDT
If that draft time is too much of a hardship for some people I can probably change it. But the closer we get to the date the quicker all of the avaliable time slots get taken and it won't be easy to change. That's why I figured I would go ahead and set it up now.

Yeah, lets get a couple more to sign up, this is a great way for a newbie to get in here and get some good posts in to build your rep. Don't be shy!
Hey Commish, can you post the roster limits, starting requirements, and scoring rules?

FYI
Wil started a Fantasy Football social group a while back, but it doesn't look like anyone has signed on but wil and myself. I would recomend this as a good place to discuss league buisness once we get started so that we don't have to search for this thread everytime we want to discuss something as a group.
Besides the echo inside is terrible.
Oh and it would be nice to know who I'm going to humble too.

Actually - John is talking about the Fantasy Football "Social Group" here on EF. It is similar to the Cleveland Browns Fans group that you set up (and I crashed ). If you visit my profile page it should show up under my groups section.

Thanks to everyone who signed up. It is good to see all the interest and I'm looking forward to a fun season.
We have 11 teams signed up as of today. One of the teams (Fighting Slugs) is a buddy of mine who I asked to join when we were holding steady at 9 (it is definitely best to have an even number of teams). Now that we have 11, if we get a 12th, that's great because I like 12-team leagues the best. If not, then the Slugs will drop out and we'll have an even 10 people all from EF.
