Obama plane photo-op startles NY
Ya know... if Obama had not inherited the 9/11 tragedy from the previous administration, this photo-op would have been exciting rather than terrifying to the good folks in NY.

Yeah......saw this in the news last night. We sort of laughed sarcastically because it really appeared to be irresponsible and even ignorant, especially given it was a 'president's photo-op' Like what was he thinking...or his PR people???

Do you REALLY think that the president didn't know about it? This wasn't just some random plane they hopped in for a flyby... it was one of the Air Force One jets.
Obviously we'll probably never really know, but my guess is that Obama was aware.

No... not an air force one jet.. the Obama Plane!
I can see it now: in between phone calls with the Centers for Disease Control, meeting with military heads about Irak and Afghanistan, and meetings with the Dept. of Treasury about bank stress testing, Obama felt a nagging problem...
"There's just not enough publicity for Air Force One!"
After pondering a few days, the light bulb goes off. He runs to the phone and delivers the order: "Fly Air Force One to NYC! I want you to circle the statue of Liberty and I want fotos, damn it! Fly it low and slow so all can see!"
After hanging up the phone, he adjust his suit with a smile on his face, feeling deeply satisfied. He then goes back to reading his thick stack of papers that communicate every military order given that day, so he can have the chance to step in and stop people's bad decisions.
