As one who has been very close to the situation let me fill you in... After Sherman was fired as coach, Farve wanted Mariucci to get the job, Thompson (GM) chose McCarthy, strike 1
when Moss was available Farve wanted the team to go heavy morgage after him, GM didn't want the head aches strike 2
when you watched sideline video of farves last games in Green Bay after interceptions you would see our coach walking out to meet Farve, farve would walk up the sideline to escape, coach would walk him down and I'm no lip reader but on one occassion it looked like he said " double with a sfety over the top! Cmon you can't throw that one." Strike three
The new coach wanted a QB playing his system with accountability, How dare he!!!!
My Take, Childress is at the end of his contract, he needs to win NOW with Peterson. He is desperate. . .He should be nervous, Brett got a whole coaching staff fired in NY with his late season collapse.
Toonces play him early and drop him in week 11. Minnesota should as well. Look at his numbers, compare weeks 1-10 then 11-16 you'll see what I mean...
Farve thinks he is above training camp, he hadn't attended a full camp in GB since 2001.
He threw his temper tantrum here and our GM and Coach let him hold his breath untill he couldn't any longer.....
I remember Bart Starr here, when he was at the end they let him play on, then they made him a player coach, then coach and we lost for twenty years!!!!!
I loved Brett when he was all on board and on my team. I don't wish him Ill but all I can say is MINN may get way more than they paid for and not in a way they expect. . .

I have always liked Favre but this is silly. I can see wanting to play because he loves the game, but as Dirty Harry said... "A man has got to know his limitations."

Dirty Harry... it was his cool line from "Magnum Force". He had a different cool line in each movie.
the original "Dirty Harry" was "Do you feel lucky? Well do ya... PUNK?"
then "Magnum Force" was "A man's got to know his limitations."
I can't remember what his big line was from "The Enforcer".
But in "Sudden Impact" came the biggie... "Go ahead... make my day."

Best Line might be one you missed....
In Josey Wales, when the bounty hunter says he's gotta make a livin and he replies
"Die-in ain't much of a livin, boy"

I'm the Berlin Haberdashers. Anyone want Cutler? I'm willing to part if the price is right.

I'm not going to be able to do any trades until this weekend, blue screen of death on my home computer, but send them down and we'll see what we can do.

After last night I'm likin my boys. Farve in Minnesota is gonna be good for me, he has always liked using his tight ends and Shianco should see alot of touches. Rodgers and Finnly are getting warmed up, now all I need is to figure out my RB situation. maybe I should take a flier on James. . .

I just had a huge belly laugh.... I was on the league page looking for a running back, I went to Wil's roster looking at possibilities when I noticed that the banner add running across Wil's page was for a Michele Obama Porcelain Doll...LOL talk about unlikely bed-fellows...!!!!

Are we all going to meet at the 50 yard line and shake hands to show good sportsmanship before our season begins?
My weekend is, for the most part, determined tonight with the Titans D and Chris Johnson. Bring it on!
Best of luck all!!
