Toonces Gets Tattooed!

Well, at almost 42 years of age, I finally got my first tattoo! This is my family's crest (Sutherland) with the family motto, Sans Peur which means "without fear"

Took about 3 hours and started stinging like a bitch at the end, but I can't wait to see it in a couple weeks!

Thats super cool.I got a good size pegasus on my left arm about where
you got yours ,I know about stingin , running all those lines through
those wings,must have been 2/300 anyways good luck with the
healing ,they heal up fast,mine did.good luck glad u hung in there

Thanks guys. Freakzillza, that's the same thing they told me. I bought some lotion to put on it. Can't wait to see it after it's done healing!

Congrats on the body art, Toonces! It looks well done.

I sat with a friend who got a similar-sized one done about a month ago. Cool seeing it happen up close. I think I was more nervous than he was!

while we on the business of tattoo,I want too share an experience,after
I went and picked my tattoo out,later that week I went and met the guy
who was going to ink me,infact it was that very day.We started and I have
to admit it was stinging but not as bad as I thought it would.I LOOKED
down on the floor and noticed these big pillows,about five of em.I asked
the guy about the pillows and he said"I have 350/400 lb guys come in here.
They think they are as macho and tough as can be ,after they sit in the
chair and I start putting the needle to em ,after five minutes they find out
just how tough they aint and a lot of em pass out,well,I aint gonna try to
catch em so they just pass out on the pillows"I thought that was funny
I did not mean to hi jack your thread toonces,just add some flavor........

how does it heal? is it just peeling or does it bleed too? does it hurt afterwards as well? are you putting goopy cream on it?

Just putting some lotion to keep it moisturized. Cleaning it twice a day with antibacterial soap. It went from hurting like a burn to itching. Makes me want to scratch it but that's a big no no! Will probably go get it touched up in a couple weeks. When are you getting your GG???
