At 5'5" and 112, I would highly doubt the 26% fat measurement, how was that calculated?

I think she said 15-16% in a previous post.
Edit: I apologize, GymGirl did say in her first post she measured at 26%.

Yep! Thats what i thought though!!
I thought it was a bit crazy, i did it with a personal trainer just with calipers, he said that they could be 2 or 3 percent out. but still i thought that was crazy!
So it could have been wrong
ALthough i did go down a pants size

A lot of trainers unfortunately think they know what they're doing with calipers, and clearly do not.

GRR!!!
Although that did make me absolutely motivated to work hard. And i do look a lot better now even if the drop wasnt 11%.
So in a way, it was an awesome (and yet totally scary) error.

LOL, whatever it takes to motivate someone right? Either that, or they want to make it appear like you lost a lot more from the start point. Hopefully it was just operator error.

Standardizing the error by using the same person is the smart thing to do, but you would hope they would try to limit error in the first place. Either way, you are less fat than they told you! lol

See! I told you to go by how you look, not by how much you weigh! It ends up working out quite well.
By the way, I generally like Weetbix but I never observed they were from Australia. I ate them in the USA-- they were on sale at a health foods store. Those Aussies...

im sure if u go to a gym, they have a lil thing that can tell u...there is a way to do it, but thats by pinching skin in legs, n stomach, n waist, n then dividing by the square root of the yr u were born...multiplied by the age you were when u first realized you wanted to work out...then u add your age...subtract ur age...n thats ur answer.....i think thats how it goes....maybe sum1 else can give the rite answer lol....
fyi that is a made up answer..please do not try that at home...i repeat, do not try that at home

haha thats awesome!! You also have to tap your head and rub your belly at the same time and singing "i gave my love a chicken it had no bone"
Well the personal trainers will do it for ya, and it takes em 5 seconds so they dont usually charge, but as you can tell... that may not be too accurate! heheh,
but there are health clinics and stuff that do this water thingy, but im not sure how you'd go about finding out where to get that done. The PT i was going to would even do caliper testing cause she said it was too innacurate.
but it doesnt matter too much if its innacurate just as long as every time you measure it its less!
Yeah sucher you did tell me! and now its all i have!!! heheheh *sniff sniff*
hehe jks!

I thought they were the same thing, and that I had just remembered the name incorrectly when I typed "weetabix" a few posts back.

Seems like my memory is intact. I looked up the 2 names, and they are made by 2 different companies!
Weetabix (UK)
"Weetabix is a wheat-based breakfast cereal produced by Weetabix Limited. It comes in the form of relatively large biscuits. These are similar to the Antipodean Weet-Bix; their generic counterparts are typically sold under the name "Wheat Biscuits". Variants include organic and Weetabix Minis (bite-sized) versions.
American tourists visiting the United Kingdom are often baffled by the sight of what appear to be thick crackers (and are referred to as biscuits), and many believe they can simply be eaten "as is". This is a misapprehension — Weetabix are typically served with milk(hot or cold) in a bowl, as with any other breakfast cereal, and often with fruit (bananas, etc). They are very light and absorbent and when soaked in milk can take on the texture of a light porridge. However they retain a certain crunchiness for a while.
The organic version of Weetabix is increasingly seen on American supermarket shelves, however, as an alternative to traditional brands offered in the US.
Weet-Bix (Australia)
Weet-Bix is the name of high-fibre breakfast cereal biscuits manufactured in Australia and New Zealand by the Sanitarium Health Food Company. The name is probably a derivative of wheat biscuits.
Weet-Bix are seen in Australia as a quintessentially Australian food. The product was marketed in Australia using the tagline "Aussie Kids are Weet-Bix kids". However, this marketing campaign was adapted for the New Zealand market to say "Kiwi Kids are Weet-Bix kids". Moreover, a closely related product, called Weetabix, is manufactured in England by Weetabix Limited of Kettering, Northamptonshire - the chief differences between the two products is that Weetabix are somewhat larger and sweeter.
In Australia supermarkets typically stock generic products which are almost indistinguishable from Sanitarium Weet-Bix. The biscuits have a crunchy texture, because they are made from many flakes of wheat pressed on top of one another. They are usually served with either cold or warm milk; if served with warm milk, they have a tendency to become soggy.
So there we have it.
Sorry to hijack your thread, gYmgIrL. I was greatly enjoying my foray into Aussie culture, and now I've been dealt a major disappointment that I was actually enjoying a British food. Oh, the humanity!
I'll have me a vegemite sammi to feel better.

Have I gone mad or is the whole world going bonkers? This started with weetbix and is gettting out of control.
