What type of contest or category? In Ohio?
As for trainers, you can find some on ACE, if you want online then I can help, and if you want specific to contest that is also something I can help with!

There are a few shows here in Ohio, Fitness and Figure NPC, this links has all their 2006 contests and you will see OH in there.
Go to naturalbodybuilding.com and then click on contests and there are some OH shows with this org too, although these guys have a different figure than NPC, these guys have a figure with open handed posing and a routine and they have fitness too.

I printed that out a couple weeks ago and have gone to 2 now. The one im working towards competing in is in august at the addalin shrine. i am starting to get my fitness routine together with a coach and my workouts more intense with a trainer. Is there an average of time you need before you compete. would august be too soon? I have been working with a trainer for about 6 months already. i know its hard because each person is different. thanks for the help

You shouldbe okay, August is about 3 months away, you should have your routine made up and be practicing it by now. Dieting slowly down as well.
Your timing seems fine.
Some gals start a year out and can cut it as close as last minute although anytime I enter last minute it is because I am competing at other shows and have it all prepared, from scratch you usually don't cut it closer than 4 months although I have worked with girls who prepped as late as 2 months out - but you cannot expect to do very well with that type of time and it would be unhealthy and uber stressful.

hey girl you came to the right place!!!!
Let's start with a show date-there are tons in ON.
First you need to get a copy of my free 'Figure Basics' ebook at lindacusmano.com.
It's a short read but it will help you with planning and which figure you will want to enter, which federation. also would want your pics n stats and so I would create a journal in our journal section if I were you and post some starting pics. weight , height, and measurements if you have, body fat, present diet and training regimen and I can tell you how far out you need and which show may suit you best.
Welcome to EF!!! I just competed last week and had shoots this weekend so I did not get to your post til now. am off to another shoot now!
