Linda Cusmano 4 wks to Fitness & Figure competition
I am about 4 weeks out in these. I have not started the diuretiecs yet so I should be less soft in a few weeks as I begin those today. I am also not too dark which does not help with lines. These are rough shots taken at the end of a day off from training with poor lighting but gives you an idea anyway.
I am entering both Fitness and Figure Nov. 18th locally which is my first step toward my last pro card goals and these will be my first non drug tested pro cards although as you can tell I am still a natural competitor and intend to try for my IFBB Fitness and Figure pro cards as a natural, although it may take me a few years to fit into the politics of things.

You look good Linda. I think you'll do very well at your upcoming competition. I've got a bodybuilding competition that I'm getting ready for that is on the same day as your competition.

OMG you are so cute!!! Dieting must have made me nuts on that thread!!! Thanks though and thanks to the rest of you for the support, lord knows I have absolutely none at home, but anyway, I did not even make top 5, looks like they wanted me much leaner than the natural circuit I am used to. Liza, looks like I am jumping on the daily cardio bandwagon but at least from now to April which is my next prospect, I can get really shredded.
April is the next qualifier. I can post up some pics once they come in. The top 5 were very tight but so small muscle wise, one gal seemed about 70lbs!
It was a downer but that is what happens when you leave a federation for so long and compete in a different circuit, plus the physique look changes each year, its like in the pros with IFBB, one year they want em leaner or smaller, the next year a bulkier girl wins..........
I was so concerned with being bulky because in past shows those are what was winning and in the pro level they are huge, but anyway, it seems at the novice level they want you tiny, which makes weird sense considering that same athlete then has to bulk up once they hit pro level. Regardless all that, if they want lean then to win I need to concern more with conditioning at that level. Its not as pageant as some of the natural circuit fitness and figure since they don't like sparkles or jewelery but the gals were all very very natural looking and sleek like some of the gals Liza may see backstage for Figure at a wnbf pro.

You and I both managed to not place in the top 5 at each of our events. But I'm glad to hear that you still went through with it and did well at your competition. At my show, I almost pulled out because I felt so inferior to the other more experienced competitors.
What was your pre-competition routine like and what fat burner supplements did you use? How would you rate your overall efforts with getting prepared for this new circuit?
Good luck at your next competition. Go Team EF!

Well I did not get lean enough, bottom line, maybe then I could have done well. I also have worked over the years to get smaller shoulders and legs and now for this org I need them big so I am going to wait a year and work for that.
I don't use fat burners but I know I can do what is needed for the look they want. Just was not on the right track with the look they want, I expected bulky girls and instead they were rake thin and not muscular at all, but striated.

You guys rock THANK YOU!!
of course I was leaner than shown here and in these for some reason the lighting took away any lines so I was a tad leaner in these than you can see but not lean enough, they seem to want a cut I have never seen in fitness before, and for figure I knew I could have been leaner but was focused on Fitness, but watch me get super lean and be too lean for the next one......well I got a year since I decided to work toward next Nov to give me time to really improve plus get sponsors.

I hear ya.
I'll begin preparing for my next two shows in the beginning of January. I think the first show of the year for me will be sometime around March or April. So I want to give myself plenty of time to get really ripped. However, for bodybuilders like me there's no such thing as being too lean, lol. So that's one less thing for me to worry about.
Good luck with your training, and keep us updated.
