Every year, FLEX Magazine scours the globe in selecting eight of the most beautiful women in the fitness industry to appear in our annual FLEX Swimsuit Issue. In 2009, one of those women could be you. For the second consecutive year, the winner of the FLEX Magazine Bikini Model Search will appear in the pages of FLEX Magazine. In addition, the winner will earn an exclusive contract as a spokesmodel with Weider Publications.
A year ago, nearly 100 contestants came out during Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas with the hopes of being the next FLEX Bikini model. This year, we are opening up that contest by running the five-month FLEX Bikini Model Search Online. The contest begins on April 1st, and each of the five monthly winners will earn $250 and a berth in the 15-woman finals on Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas.
WHAT: FLEX Bikini Model Search Online
WHO: Females 18 and older
WHEN: Monthly, beginning on April 1
COST: Free
HOW IT WORKS: Each of the contests will begin on the 1st of each month (beginning April 1) and run through the 15th. The contestant with the most votes after the two-week voting period will win the monthly contest.
DEADLINES: Photos are due by the 21st of the month prior to the start of the contest.
WHAT YOU GET: Monthly winners earn $250 USD and a spot in the 15-woman finals of the FLEX Bikini Model Search on Olympia Weekend.
JUDGING CRITERIA Body Condition & Overall Beauty – 50% of Score
Judges will be looking for fit, feminine contestants who display proper shape, symmetry and poise combined with overall condition and beauty. This is not a bodybuilding contest, so extreme muscularity will be negatively scored.
State Presence & Personality – 40% of Score
Contestants will be asked to walk in a bikini and high heels across the stage. It is important to mention that two-piece swimsuits are required. Thongs or G-Strings are not acceptable. No lewd acts will be allowed. Contestants will be asked to turn and pose at each corner and again at the center of the stage. Judges will be looking for the competitor with the best stage presence and who can successfully convey her personally to the audience.
Audience Popularity – 10% of Score
The goal is to be charming and charismatic, and to incite audience participation. The competition should be fun
