Here's another quick oatmeal recipe:

1/2 c. McCanns Instant Oatmeal
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 tbls. peanut butter
1 c. skim milk
2 packets stevia powder (natural sugar substitute)
Combine all and cook for 2 min in the microwave

This is a VERY filling bowl of oatmeal (hard to finish it all) so you can cut down the recipe to meet your needs. Enjoy!

Great breakfasts, for the weekend. I am on a tight schedule in the mornings and only have about 15-25 mins to get my breakfast ready and not too much more to eat it. Any real quick things other than cereal that are good to start the day off right?

Best darn bowl of oatmeal I've ever had:

1 Pack regular flavor insant oatmeal
1 Scoop chocolate protein shake powder
1 Banana
~2/3 Cup Water (or Milk)

Directions - Mix the oatmeal and liquid together in a bowl, then break up the banana and add it into the bowl as well. Microwave for however long (I like my oatmeal to be thick [also depends on the amount of liquid added], so I microwave for about 1 minute 45 seconds to 2 minutes).

Stir the oatmeal/banana mix, then mix in the chocolate protein powder.

Hopefully the banana should be of a mushy consistancy, which makes the oatmeal all the more better (IMO).

And there you have it! A chocolatey banana oatmeal! Hurray!

Snap, I had another great bowl of oatmeal this morning...

What you need:
1 - 2 x serving Oatmeal (~1/2 cup - 1 cup)
1 x packet of sugar free Jell-O (any flavor, I had raspberry)
-- x water (however much you want... more water = thinner oatmeal, less water = thicker)

Mix the dry oatmeal with a wee bit of the Jell-O mix (not too much, or else your oatmeal will come out SOUR or TART). Then add the water and nuke it in the microwave.

Boom! There you have it! A bowl of oatmeal with a KICK. I have no idea how much Jell-O mix I added in, but it was sort of sour in some parts... I'm not against sour oatmeal, though, so it didn't bother me.

Experiment with the mix, I guess... Oh, and you'll want a seperate source of protein, as two servings of oatmeal doesn't have a whole lot. I had about 3-5 egg whites with my bowl.

when you guys say mix the oatmeal with the liquid, is the liquid already hot? or you mix the water or milk first and then work your magic?

Whole Wheat Biscuits

2 Cups whole wheat flour
3/4 cup milk of choice
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/3 cup shortening of choice

Mix the dry ingredients. Melt shortening in the microwave and add it and the milk until you form bread dough. Knead thoroughly and then roll out and cut biscuits with round cutter. Preheat oven to 450 and lightly grease a cookie sheet (you can use Pam). Bake for about 10 minutes (5 minutes on the lower rack and 5 on the upper rack).

In the Halley's Berry Smoothie, is the 3/4 cup skim milk in addition to what you would use to make the oatmeal, or is that the same skim milk?

What do you guys recommend to eat 45 minutes before a workout? I usually eat one of those packets of yogurt or a small bowl of honey special-k.
