Brown Beans
To me they are the most understated food. Fact: Did you know that every 1/4 cup of beans (the kind i am refering to) has 7 grams of protien? That totals to 28grams of protien per cup of beans!!! WOW. Here is how i make beans.
Take one package of brown beans, place in pot of water on the stove till they begin to boil slowly, cover and add water if too much boils out. After a few hours the beans have absorbed alot of the water and are ready to eat. I personally like them plain but you can add a ham to the pot or maybe something else that you like. Beans have definatly become my favorite meal but i haven't had them in a while because i am at college. I would recommend that everyone at least try them, if you don't like them then they are not for you. And they are cheap too, super cheap, buy a bag of beans at walmart TODAY!

I went for years without them due to having to eat them alot when I was a kid. We were poor, and it's always been a cheap food.
Now, I really enjoy them. I soak 'em overnight to reduce the gastrous effects...WHEW!
Then we slow cook 'em with a little ham, garlic salt, and onions. To really endulge and feel like I'm back home, I make fried potatoes to go with them. Been dieting fo a while so I haven't seen this for a while but a guy can dream, can't he?

Add some brown rice to the mix to get the complete mix of essential Amino acids.
And, Bounce, no matter what I do, the gaseous effects are never reduced. Hence the name: Old Fart!

Hey OldFart2, a college student needs ammo don't they? I just can't risk bustin' out a big fogger when I'm in someones home tuning a piano. They might not have a dog I can blame it on.

Worst is when you're in the gym, pushing up on a heavy squat or leg press. It's just gotta come out!
I call 'em turbo squats!

I do like this : Put the beans in water and let be over night, then change water in the morning and boil it up. Change water again, add the spices and onions you like and cook it until it's finished. This procedure with changing water reduces the gasissue to minimum.

Tried that but it doesn't work for me. My body is just a natural gas producer. If I could figure out how to store it and sell it for energy, I'd make a fortune.
