Rachel Ray WOO.
My idea for a new cooking show.
They can get the crock hunter to do an australian food special.
"Crikey its a massive muffin, the worlds most sweetest, one bite and i would be a diabetic for life. CRIKEY!!"

Giada DeLaurentis on Evryday Italian is way hot, so I like that one, but I also like Good Eats because Alton Brown explains the science of cooking, and I am a geek like that.

I love watching Good Eats. Alton Brown is great. Actually, I'm pretty much a Food Channel junkie. I dont actually eat any of the stuff they cook (especially Paul Deen, she bathes in butter!), but I still like checking out the recipes they make.

Giada DeLaurentis on Evryday Ita,
She's gotta good show, makes it easy, but I find it hard to concentrate with all that rack she has and she barely covers it.
but I'm not complaining. It beats that other Italian cook.
She's not as nice on the Eyes but boy can she cook and eat.
I think she has a few restaurants in NYC

I'm guessing you're talking about Lidia Bastianich and yeah she ain't no hottie. Her food, however, is awesome. Her two restaraunts in NYC are Felidia on the East Side which is amazing but about $75 a head (without wine) and Becco in the Theatre District which is only like $30 a person and is still really good (and has an awesome $20 a bottle section of the wine list). Her son Joe is partners with Mario Batali in all of his restaraunts in the city- Babbo, Esca, Lupa and Otto. I've been to Babbo twice and I would say they were probably 2 of the best meals of my life- also two of the most expensive. Otto on the other hand is down in the Village and is a gourmet pizzeria, perfect for dates, has a great bar and you can out of there for like $25 or $30 a person. If you go get the lard pizza and the olive oil gelato, both sound wierd but are really freakin' good.

Jaime Oliver
Oliver's Twist, formerly the Naked Chef (no he doesn't cook in the nude) is a great show for quick, tasty stuff that you don't see everyday. Saw him cook stuffed onions the other day. Not sure if I can handle that much onion but it looked delicious.

A new favorite-
Daisy Cooks! on PBS. Great stuff, although she's a little too perky. Picked up her cookbook and was very pleased to find it well thought out & well explained. Lots of realistic in home recipes with mostly easy to find ingredients. If you like Latin cooking pick it up here:

Nigella isn't bad either, she has a great rack which is distracting to the show however.

I love Rick Stein as im a sea food junkie, if it lives in the sea i'll eat it! Also we have a show called ready steady cook which involves 2 guests bringing in £5 worth of assorted things and they are paired up with a chef that has to create a gourmet dish out of the items.

Well, since this has been bumped I'm gonna add in my fav show that doesnt come on anymore called "A Cooks Tour" with Anthony Bourdain, he also has a show on the travel channel about travel and food called "No Reservations" I love that guy, the funniest by far Ive ever seen, and I love his books. Not cook books btw just books about his experiences. Anyone seriously into Culinary has to check out his book "Kitchen Confidental" Ive heard some say it should be required reading for Culinary students. Plus its really funny.

Everyday Italian...MEOW!!! I am an avid cook, so I guess my girlfriend lets me get away with watching Giada. She cooks some elegant stuff and still keeps a great body. Yan Can Cook rocks too, Martin Yan is great. Also, remember that show Grahm Kerr did where his reduced fat and calories in traditional dishes?? That was an excellent cooking show as well. Alton Brown does really put on a good program, but I can see how people'd think he'd be annoying...

I remember a show that used to come on food tv years ago, back when there was no emeril live and all these other crappy shows. It was back when I was just a little doughkid first getting into cooking. One of my favorite shows was a show for vegetarians, it was funny to me because as a kid I hated veggies and fruits and love my meat, but the show was so good, it made me as a picky young kid wanna eat better, it was the first show that made me realize that healthy isnt always bland or nasty, but can be quite flavorful and good (Thats why I wanna visit India). The funniest thing is I dont remember the name of the show, but Ill never forget the name of the host. His name was Curtis Aikens, he was a kinda big black guy and I think he used to always want a hug LMAO at the beginning of every show.
Im curious to know if anyone else knows what show Im talking about, its been quite a few years, I think at that time Emeril just had essense of emeril and only had 1 cookbook at the time. When David Rosengarten (sp?) talked about the best wines to go with certain foods, before food network kinda went down the drain, and spent more time on entertainment then actually just the joy of cooking and techniques. As a culinary student thats how I feel, but to me food tv is not much more than an entertainment channel more than a "live cookbook" like it used to be. Then again times have changed and certain chefs are like celebs now so I guess food tv feels they gotta step up things in the entertainment department. Not much wrong with that but when I see some as they say "Star Chefs" not following basic Culinary Sanitation stuff it makes me wanna spit. Granted they arent all Chefs some are just regular folk who can cook and have a good personality like Paula Deen.
Hmm kinda went out there with that reply huh?
