So much for 'eating plenty of fruit and vegetables'.
With all the fads floating around all the time, i'm not quite sure what i'm supposed to eat anymore.

it doesnt make sense to me. natural sugar vs processed sugar. natural is always better, provided you dont overdo it.

Fruit sugars
I believe that they are refering to fruit sugars(fructose) instead of fruit. The fructose in corn sweetners is "worse" for you, but that is not the same. You have to take the fructose out of the fruit ( I have no idea how) and use that. It is not the same idea as eating fruit or vegetables.

fructose fills liver glycogen because muscle does not have the enzymes necesary to convert fructose into glycogen for storage. having liver glycogen topped off is good, but once its full, more fructose just spills over into adipose tissue.
and yes, high fructose corn syrup is the devil.
i always have a big whey + strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry shake before a workout. Other than that, its all veggies for me.
